Brief List of Achievements – Praja Seva Samaj

  • Constructed 6 houses for fire victim families
  • Laying of Approach Road for 3 Tribal Villages.
  • Promoted 650 Sterilization cases in the targeted area by paying incentives to them.
  • 93 % of communities are attending for institutional deliveries.
  • 0 % Maternal and Infant Mortality Rate with health interventions.
  • Promoted personal hygiene and environmental sanitation through the construction of bathrooms and toilets for 325 poor families.
  • Provided nutrition, referral, medical and counselling support to 226 PLHAs (People Living with HIV/AIDs).
  • Provided nutrition and DOTS for T.B. Patients in the targeted villages.
  • 23 government schools were equipped with adequate infrastructure facilities to help enhance better facilities to the children to further improve their standards of learning and understanding.
  • Constructed compound walls, kitchen sheds and whitewash for 19 schools.
  • 225 SHG Members are able to read and write through the establishment of 10 Women Literacy Centres (SHG Literacy Centres).
  • Distributed 167 bicycles for promotion of rural girl child higher education.
  • Distributed Sheep Units and Milch Cattle to 211 families.
  • The people of Tanakal Mandal have utilised health services optimally by the establishment of Praja Seva Medical Centre and Mobile Health Centre with the support of the USAID Project during 1994 – 99.
  • About 7648 school dropout children were streamlined under Non-formal Education Programme during 1996 – 2001 through MHRD, Govt. of India
  • Established 2 Non-residential Schools and 1 Rural Night School in Tribal Villages of Medchal, Shamshabad and Maheshwaram Mandals in Ranga Reddy District through the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Govt. of India
  • 450 Acres of land development was taken up with financial assistance by CAPART Regional Centre, Hyderabad
  • Provision of Health Fund for needy families during emergencies.
  • Rehabilitated 338 women in difficult circumstances through SWADHAR Scheme. Out of them, 35 Trafficked girls got employment in fashion designing through support from ChildFund India for skill-based training.
  • Establishment of Pre-School Centres.
  • Provision of safe drinking water through the digging of bore wells, laying of pipeline construction of ground-level surface reservoirs and erection of submersible pump sets for 10 villages
  • Imparting skill-based training on tailoring and supply of sewing machines to adolescent girls.
  • Imparted Employable skill training to youth on DDTP, Light Motor Vehicle Driving and ITI.
  • Promotion of Girl Child Education through the supply of bicycles.
  • Created space for children through the establishment of Child Resource Centres.
  • Established 6 Bulk Milk Units in 6 Mandals with the support of Balaji Dairy, Tirupati.
  • Promoted and strengthened village level CBOs i.e. Self Help Groups, Mothers Committees, Child Clubs, Youth Groups and Adolescent Sanghas.
  • Promoted and Registered SHG Federation under AP MACS Act and extending financial and technical support to the SHGs. The Federation Corpus is 70 + Lakhs
  • Rescued and rehabilitated 142 child labourers and mainstream in schools as per standard
  • Stopped child marriages to 425 children and rejoined in schools and continuing education
  • Rehabilitated 24 orphan and semi-orphan children in SOS Children’s Village.
  • Established 2 R.O Water Plants in rural areas for the provision of safe drinking water to the community and managed by the community.
  • Established 7 SMART Classes (Digital E-Learning) in Govt. Schools.
  • PSS selected as Service Provider for SABALA Scheme in Penukonda Division covering 5 ICDS Projects and taking lead part as Resource Person on imparting training Sakhi and Sahelies under SABALA (RGSEAG) Scheme.
